Product Description
Skinomi TechSkin goes beyond traditional screen protectors, skins, covers, and cases. This cell phone protector is made from clear thermoplastic urethane film - the same film used to protect military aircrafts and NASA space shuttles. It has the ability to resist high levels of abrasion, making it the ultimate protector for gadgets and devices. The film "scratch-proofs" your device without adding bulk like traditional cases. Skinomi TechSkin is designed to provide lifetime protection for your device. If the film ever wears or scratches, Skinomi will replace it for free, for as long as you need it for your device. If you ever need to remove the TechSkin, it peels off easily leaving no residues unlike other screen protectors or skins.

I paid ten bucks for this product and I’m unhappy enough with it that I’m not going to use it. Let’s go over a few things which might help prospects to make an informed decision:

1 – In the product features, there is a mention of non-sticky surface. Let’s clear up two things: first, the non-sticky refers to the side that’s up. The other side that lays on the screen actually has an adhesive. Second, don’t expect the up side to be as smooth as the DROID’s screen itself. It does in fact feel a bit rubbery comparing to DROID’s screen.

2 – In the description it’s mentioned that the product can be removed easily from the screen without leaving residues. In the installation instructions which comes with the product, it’s mentioned that “Removing the film after the adhesive side has dried may cause it to scratch or deform.”

3 – As other reviewers have mentioned, you’d need to be really patient (I’m not). The installation instructions says “Allow 12 to 24 hours after installation before turning on the device” and “Micro-bubbles, streaks, and imperfections will disappear withing a few days”.

Needless to say that I don’t recommend this product to friends.

I did not realize using water is a part of putting the screen on my phone. I do not think I will use it because I do not want to harm my phone.

This is a terrible product, stay away! I’ve put a screen protector on every product I own: 3 different iPhones, DS, PSP, etc. Anyway, most of those protector had their pros and cons. But this one, the problem is the actual protector. It’s a horrible material, thick and bulky and makes it’s presence known. What you want from a protector is protection but without any noticeable difference to the screen. This fails miserably.

What they try to make up for in the lack of quality of the product is the packaging, the spray bottle and the plastic installing piece. I’d say all of those were top notch. Too bad it was for installing such a horribly, cheap product.

Again, avoid. Now I’m searching for decent protector for my Droid.

Same problem as other 1 star reviews–mixing liquid and electronics is the first risk. Then when applying it, it had a foggy unattractive impact to the screen. After looking at the end result, we tossed it and will go to the verizon store. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY LIKE WE DID. And the lifetime replacements policy is bull as it only applies to scratches and tears and this thick foggy piece of film will never have that problem.
